Overview

This article provides a comprehensive guide on implementing the adaptive card feature within Dashboard for CyReport . The adaptive card functionality allows for the seamless sharing of alerts triggered by specific thresholds within Dashboards for CyReport. Before you begin, make sure you have the Dashboard for CyReport app installed, as it is a prerequisite for leveraging this feature.

Setting up Adaptive Card Feature

Connector Configuration

  1. Navigate to the Teams channel where you want to implement the adaptive card feature.

  2. Right-click on the channel and select "Connectors."

  3. Click on "Add" for incoming webhook or configure an existing one if available.

  4. Provide a name for the webhook, upload an image, and click on "Create."

  5. Copy the generated URL and click "Done."

CyReport Integration

  1. Launch the CyReport app and sign in using single sign-on.

  2. Select "Webhook" from the top menu and click on "New."

  3. Add a channel name and paste the previously copied URL.

  4. Click the tick icon to confirm the integration.

Dashboard Configuration

  1. Use adaptive cards to send alerts for dashboard thresholds.

  2. Launch the dashboard for SI Report.

  3. Select "Webhook" from the top menu and click on "New."

  4. Add a channel name and paste the previously copied URL.

  5. Click the tick icon to confirm CyReport integration.

Configuring Threshold Alerts

Threshold Setup

  1. Navigate to the specific entity (e.g., calls waiting) on the dashboard.

  2. Click on the spanner icon in the configuration.

  3. Navigate to "Thresholds Rules" and open the desired threshold level.

  4. Under "Webhook," select the channel for sharing alerts.

  5. Click "Apply" to save the changes.t

Testing Alerts

  1. Use the test button to simulate an alert to the channel.

  2. Alternatively, run the dashboard live and simulate an incoming call to trigger the threshold alert.

Viewing Adaptive Card Alerts

Once a threshold is triggered, the adaptive card alert will be visible in the selected Teams channel. Clicking on "View on Dashboard" within the adaptive card will open the dashboard in a browser, providing further details.
