Welcome to the CyReport Self-Paced, Self-Learning, Simulated Training Exercise.

This simulated environment will guide you through the process of the CyReport Installation and cover basic Configuration Testing.  

To complete this training, you must go through sections I, II, & III.  The final section (sec. III) will require you to send our Training Department an email as a final qualification to complete this training.

Learning Outcomes:

At the completion of this self-training exercise, you should be comfortable installing CyReport and working with reports, including but not limited to the following:

  • Run reports using the CyReport Client

  • Manually Adding Call records (SMDR) to the CyReport Server

  • Creating User profiles in CyReport Manager

  • Creating and Adding Groups, Persons, and Extensions using the CyReport Directory

 

 

There are no prerequisite courses or training required. Just a basic working knowledge of software installation in Windows.

 

 

a)  Demo trial License

  • one will be provided otherwise, you can send in a request by sending an email to support@cytrack.com.

b) System Requirements:

  • Windows 7 SP1 computer (minimum) or a Windows 2008 R2 Server. 

  • Virtual Machines are supported. 

 

 

In this task, you will learn how to install CyReport properly along with its required components for its operation.  You will be installing and using the actual CyReport tool but on a simulated environment as it will not be connected to a PABX system.

Once the installation is complete and settings are properly configured, you will be able to see the working interface of CyReport.

NOTES:  

  • The .zip file contains all the CyTrack product packages.

  • For this exercise, select 'Advanced Installation' and select the CyReport components when prompted.

  • For customer self-updates in the future, they need to download the individual installers per product.

  1. Using the steps & video provided by the link below, install the CyReport application.  Lastly, you need to consider items 

3 and 4 below before running the installation.

Once again, please ensure to select the 'Advanced Installation' at the initial install stage and ONLY select the CyReport components. 

  1. Once you get to Step 1 (ONWARDS) of the Installation Wizard, use the settings & configuration required below:

  • Install Type: Full Install

  • Site Name:  Beach Hotels

  • Country: Australia

  • Exchange Number : 075539800

  • Connection Type: Network

  • Decoder: LG IPECS 4 Digit D/M/Y

  • CyRemote Network Address: localhost

  • Trunk name: Local Trunk

  • Carrier: General Carrier

  • Extensions: 1000, 1001, 1201 – 1230, 1062 - 1066

  • Backup Location: C:\Backup\Filename.bak

  • Backup Time: 02:30 

  1. During the installation process via the wizard, use the csv file attached and import the below contacts when prompted:

  • Click the image below to download the file.  

  • Save it to a folder on your computer where you can easily access the Excel file.

 

 

  1. Since this is just a simulated environment, CyReport is not connected to a PABX system.  Therefore, you will need to upload call records into CyReport's database to see the data when you run reports.  

 

Once you have successfully installed CyReport, follow the instructions on "Manually Importing SMDR" by clicking on the file below.  Use the attached SMDR.txt file when prompted.

  1. At this stage, the Installation & Basic Configuration should be complete.  You may proceed to section II.

 

 

In this section, you will be going through 7 tasks that would equip you with the ability to effectively use CyReport, and more importantly, demonstrate to new users the basics of this powerful reporting solution.

 

  1. Open the CyReport client from the CyReport Launcher. CyReport has over 130 built-in report formats.  For this task, run a “Listed Portrait” report format of the calls made for on "6 June 2013."

2) Export a copy of the report you have generated in a PDF & XLS format.

3) Generate a report & save it in a folder called “My New Saved Reports”

4) Create a new user account called “Supervisor” this account will only have access to modify the directory. Other permissions will be false.

5) Configure the SMTP Settings for CyReport Client.

6) Subscribe to a report, ensure that the report is sent out every hour at 8:00am to the email YourEmail@YourServer.com in the next 30 days.

7) Access the CyReport Directory and add a new user Linda with the extension 1003. Assign her the new group called Install Team.
