CyDesk Installation Requirements
Pre-Installation Requirements
The requirements for CyDesk are divided into two parts:
System Requirements
TAPI Requirements
1. System Requirements
Server Requirements – Minimum Specification
Windows 2008 R2 Server, Windows 7 Pro, or newer (Windows Home Editions and Apple MAC is not supported)
Intel i5 Processor or higher 32-Bit and 64-Bit Supported
8G RAM or greater (Minimum for single Retell Sense unit (CyRecord), additional units require additional RAM)
40 GB free disk
Network card configured with TCP/IP (Required for licensing) (Wireless networking environments are not recommended)
For Remote Desktop Support and Installation Internet Connection with full web access required
Server Requirements – Required Windows Components and Additional Software
Windows SQL Required – Minimum SQL 2005 (SQL Express bundled with CyReport if none available) (Apple MAC is not supported)
Install DOTNET 2 and 4 or higher
Install IIS and IIS 6 Management Compatibility (IIS 6 Metabase Compatibility)
Port Number to be used for CyReport BI Web Client (Port 80 (default) used if none specified)
Client Requirements – Minimum Specification
Windows 7 or Higher (Windows Home Editions not supported)(Apple MAC is not Supported)
Intel i5 (or equivalent) Processor or higher
4 GB RAM (4 Recommended) or greater
10 GB free disk
Network and Other Requirements
All clients/server must have TCP/IP enabled with an address assigned and run on the same subnet.
It is recommended that all workstations including the Server is on a Domain
Administrator password is required to perform software installation on any Windows operating systems
2. TAPI/TSP Requirements
(Below is not applicable for a Lab Test installs with "virtual PBX" service simulating the PABX connection)
The TSP driver is used by TAPI to allow the communication between the server and the PBX.
We need to test that the TAPI device is working correctly.
==> There is a free program called TAPI Soft Phone that allows you to monitor / control telephony devices through TAPI in a similar fashion to CyDesk.

==> Run a few checks to confirm telephony is working correctly
Ensure all TAPI devices are listed.
Start a session on the nearest extension and ensure control can be achieved.
Lift handset and view the devices changed status, make a call, hang-up a call etc.
