Digium Asterisk set-up for CyDesk
This guide will show you how to set-up your Digium phone and start the CyDesk Asterisk service.  Once configured and set-up accordingly, your CyDesk should be able to answer and place calls via the Digium Asterisk phone.
Requirement:
To start, you need to enable the Digium Phone Module for Asterisk (DPMA) to have direct access to Asterisk's internal applications. Â Click the image below to get a Free License.Â

At this stage, you are now ready to install the CyTrack app for Digium phones.
I. Enable phone for 'App Development Mode'Â
Follow these steps on your Digium phone:Â
- Press the More... softkey to scroll until the Menu softkey is available (or press the Menu button on a D70)
- Press the Menu softkey
- In the Main Menu, select Admin Settings
- Enter the Admin Password (unless changed, it defaults to 789) and press Submit
- Select System Tools
- Select Enable App Development
- Press Select
- Press OK when the phone indicates the configuration is being updated.

II. Â Access the App Development Web Page

- To access the web page, you need to identify the IP address of the development phone on which you enabled the App Development.  To do so, on the phone, click More... → Menu → About → click Select
- To display the App Development web page, navigate to:
- http://phone_ip-address/app_dev
- Username: Â admin
- Default Password: Â 789
- Note: Â Digium Asterisk recommends using Google Chrome.

III. Â Upload the CyTrack app to the phone
Once you have accessed the Web App Development interface, upload the CyTrack app. Â Click here to download the file.

The app development page displays an Add app button, and if there are custom apps installed already, a table listing the installed Apps with action buttons: Settings and Delete.
- Click the Add app button. This displays the page with the App Package File text box.
- Click inside the text box (Click to add file). This displays your hard drive directory system.
- Find and select the zip file that contains your custom app, then click the Open option. This adds the zip file name to the text box.
- Click Submit to upload the file. A popup displays a message that the upload was successful. Now the App Settings tools are available for use on the uploaded app.

IV. Â Enabling the Extension Number
At this stage of the process, you need to configure CyTrack to send the custom commands to the phone by logging-in to the CyDesk Manager.
Once logged in, go to Device Editor and enable the 'Has Digium App' option as shown below:
Options → under Configuration, select Devices → double-click the appropriate extension → tick 'Has Digium App' → click OK to save.

V. Enabling the service
Restart 'CyDesk Asterisk Service' via CyDesk Manager or via Windows Services.
